* The Student fee is reserved to undegraduate, graduate, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows without a permanent position. Proof of status required.
** Access limited to exhibition only, NO working sessions.

The registration fee for Delegates and Students includes:

  • Access to all working sessions
  • Coffee breaks
  • Access to the exhibition hall
  • Welcome mixer on Sunday, August 26th, 2018, at the congress center
  • Farewell drink on Friday, August 31st, 2018, at the congress center

Low income registrations:

  • If you wish to attend only one day of the conference you can take advantage of the one-day registration fee

Group registration:

  • Group of delegates belonging to the same company/university can register at a discounted rate (€ 300,00 per person). Please note that groups must be comprised of 5 persons.

The registration fee for Accompanying Persons includes:

  • Welcome mixer on Sunday, August 26th, 2018, at the congress center
  • Florence walking tour on Monday, August 27th, 2018

Please take the following steps in order to register:

  • In order to register you must begin by creating a registration profile

  • To do that click on the button you will find on the next page: CREATE A NEW INDIVIDUAL USER

  • Once you have filled out all of the registration fields, please click on PROCEED TO CHECKOUT in order to complete the registration payment.

  • Once your profile is created, you will receive an email with your login details. After your registration is completed, in case you need to access the registration page again (e.g. to register for a social event, to book your accommodation, to register an accompanying person...) please enter your Username and Password in the INDIVIDUAL LOGIN section of the registration page.

  • Please note that in Italy you receive the invoice after the payment. Once the registration process has been completed, within a few days you will receive an invoice from the Organizing Secretariat confirming that payment has been received.

IMSC Conference Policies
Please review these policies which are intended to assure the comfort and privacy of all conference participants.

  • Name badges are required for all conference sessions, including the exhibit hall
  • No smoking is permitted in the congress center
  • Cell phones must be turned off in oral sessions
  • No photography or recording is allowed in oral sessions or in the Poster-Exhibit Hall
  • Material presented or displayed at the IMSC Conference, including but not limited to orals, posters, workshops, exhibit booths and hospitality suites, is the intellectual property of the presenter and may not be recorded, photographed, quoted, disseminated or transmitted by summary in any form without the express approval of the author of the material presented. Such materials must contain appropriate credits for all quotations or photographs
  • No organized activities (even off-site) other than those approved by IMSC are allowed during the conference week
  • Corporate or institutional logos in slides or posters may appear only one time in the presentation


Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent via email to:
For cancellations of participation in the congress and/or Short Courses and optional tours by Friday, 1st June 2018, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded.
No refund can be made for cancellations received after Friday, 1st June 2018.
The Organizing Secretariat will refund your registration fee after the congress, less € 50,00 that will be withheld to cover administrative charges.
Refunds will be net of bank transfer costs.
